Audra passed away peacefully in her sleep on February 19, 2010 at her daughter's home in Santa Maria, California. She was born on May 28, 1924 to Ira and Estella Brickey in Pasco, Washington. She graduated from Pasco High School in 1942 and married Delwin G. Guynn on September 30th of that year. While living in Pasco, Audra worked at the Franklin County Assessor's office and later the Kennewick School District. In 1976, Del's job with the Burlington Northern Railroad took them on a new adventure to Spokane, Washington where Audra went to work for the local school district. After retirement, they moved to Anchorage, Alaska in 1988. Regardless of where they lived, Audra always considered Pasco home and she returned here in 1992. Once back in Pasco, she was a key volunteer for the Franklin County Historical Society. The museum quickly became her passion; she served as a board member, Treasurer and was very proud of being named Trustee Emeritus. Audra was known as a giving and loving person and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is preceded in death by her beloved husband Delwin and siblings: Gene Brickey, Lee and Agnes Brickey, Kenny and Doris Brickey, Iris Brickey Sabo, Mary Brickey, Helen Brickey Hummel, grandchildren Rocky and Chelsea.
She is survived by siblings: Mayford Brickey of Kennewick, Washington and Eva Brickey Calvin of Lakeland, Florida. Children: Beverly Wrenchey of Spokane, Washington; Ron and Sharon Guynn of Klamath Falls, Oregon; Dave and Patty Guynn of Orting, Washington; Dan Guynn; JoAnn and Paul Erickson of Santa Maria, California; Janet Schoenberg of Golden, Colorado; Audra and Leroy Walters of Tacoma, Washington; 15 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Viewing will be on Monday, March 1, 2010 from 4pm-7pm at Hillcrest Bruce Lee Memorial Center; 2804 W. Lewis St. in Pasco. Funeral services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at Hillcrest Bruce Lee Memorial Center. A celebration of her life will follow services at the Franklin County Historical Museum; 305 North 4th Avenue, Pasco. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Franklin County Historical Society.
