Beloved husband and father, Norman Thomas Sackett, went to be with our heavenly father on March 1, 2010. Norm was born in Fond Du Luc, Wisconsin on May 28, 1932 in a family of twelve brothers and sisters. Norm was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the United States Army where he met the love of his life, Elsie. Norm and Elsie were married for 58 years and had eight children as well as opening up their home to the care of multiple foster children.
Norm was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and cherished his wedding at the Salt Lake City Temple of Elsie. Norm spent the latter years of his working career enjoying his many friendships at Ben Franklin Transit from which he retired. Norm spent his retirement enjoying family in Wisconsin and Washington, fishing and playing cards and dominoes.

Norm is preceded in death by son Dennis, daughter Elly Susan, grandson Bobby, sisters Muriel, Helen Jean and Esther, brothers William, Clarence Jr. and Georgie.

Norm is survived by his wife Elsie Delores Sackett, sons Michael, Thomas and Erik, daughters Laurie, Fancy and Kitty, brothers Harry and Jack, sisters Arlene, Mary and Betty as well as many nephews, nieces and grandchildren.

Viewing will be held on Thursday, March 4, 2010 from 4pm-7pm at Hillcrest Bruce Lee Memorial Center, 2804 W. Lewis St. in Pasco. A Memorial Service will be at 10am on Friday, March 5, also at Hillcrest Bruce Lee Memorial. Interment will be held at Desert Lawn Memorial Park, 1401 S. Union St. in Kennewick, following the memorial service.
